TEMPO.CO, Jakarta The Coordinating Minister of Economy, Airlangga Hartarto, revealed that the total funds needed by the government to procure 260 million Covid-19 vaccines from Sinovac amounted to Rp 45.5 trillion. These are the total funds proposed by PT Bio Farma (Persero) for the acquisition of vaccines of a total of 260 million doses from the Chinese biopharma company.
Meanwhile, the down payment (DP) required by Bio Farma to obtain vaccines is IDR 3.6 trillion in October. Thereafter, the total advance payment that must be prepared for the next 2022 IDR is 24.21 trillion.
“For Bio Farma, everything has a schedule and a budget,” Airlangga said at a virtual press conference on Monday 12 October 2020.
In the meantime, procured 15 million doses of vaccine from Sinovac on November 30, 2020. Furthermore, Bio Farma estimates that there are 10 million doses of vaccine entered into on January 5, 2021, 20 million doses of vaccine on January 28, 2021, 5 million doses of vaccine on February 26, 2021 and 32 million vaccines by March 29, 2021.
Then Bio Farma estimates that there will be 21 million doses of the coronavirus vaccine on April 30, 2021, 20 million doses of vaccine on May 31, 2021, 33 million doses of vaccine on June 29, 2021.
